Trailing out of the forest is Styx river which cuts through the soggy marshlands like a knife. Bare trees dot the river like a loose border and steam rises from the surface of the water on cool mornings or chilly evenings. The river is stock full of fish that get fat and lazy due to all the nourishment the weeds and river grasses have to offer and it is not uncommon in the spring to see salmon jumping out of the water going up stream.
